Pastoral Care and Our Values
For our boys and girls, time spent at school is about more than academic success. It is about preparing for life. We believe that an education rooted in teaching character, will set our children apart.
The eight values that we uphold were originally identified by the Jubilee Centre for Character and Values, as a pioneering interdisciplinary research centre focussing on character, virtues and values in the interest of human flourishing.’
We are preparing children for greatness through STEAM and our core values.
- Humility
- Love
- Honesty
- Justice
- Services
- Self-discipline
- Courage
- Gratitude
Greatness undeniably, represents different things to different people and often changes with the passage of time. At Holborn Academy we see greatness as an assemblage of eight essential values, which we believe, through our children, would shape our nation and the world in a positive way. These values bind and unite everyone and everything within our school.
- be kind
- be giving and helpful
- be honest and truthful
- be part of a team
- appreciate the value of their contribution
- be active listeners
- appreciate the beauty of the world around them
- always be willing to try
- be the best they can be
In addition to underpinning social and emotional development, a values-based education creates an environment where learning can flourish
